"The Microsoft® eMbedded Visual Tools 3.0 deliver a complete desktop development environment for creating applications and system components for Windows® Powered devices, including the Pocket PC and Handheld PC. The eMbedded Visual Tools include eMbedded Visual Basic® and eMbedded Visual C++®, including SDKs for the Pocket PC, Palm-size PC, and Handheld PC. The eMbedded Visual Tools are the successor to the separate Windows CE Toolkits for VC++ and VB. This version is standalone and does not require Visual Studio."
Special Note: Read a review of eMbedded Visual C++ 3.0 by Timothy Tripp - "Learn why you’ll want to add eMbedded Visual C++ to your developer tool weaponry. Consider, for example, the IDE (integrated development environment), the C++ debugger, and the other developer tools to supplement C++ development tools that come with Microsoft eMbedded Visual Tools 3.0."
